Deathless Trailer
A trailer for Deathless, the new novel by Catherynne M. Valente. Utlizes stock footage of Russian women and soldiers. Special thanks to Betsy Tinney for her beautiful cello rendition of Dark Eyes and Forest Rogers for use of her iconic painting of Baba Yaga
I just finished reading this book and it was absolutely amazing! I am definitely recommending it to everyone I know!
I am super looking forward to this. If it’s even half as good as the Orphan books, I’ll be thrilled even more!
The cello piece in this video is absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait for the end of March! Although that does give me time to review some Russian history and folklore…
Love it!
I love this thing like something that I love very much. Great job, Cat and Betsy.
Wow, amazing footage.
I am counting down the days to this release!
Wonderful stuff! Lovely indeed.
Beautiful!
Lovely!
Okay, I’ll admit it. I did a little chair-dance of excitement just now.
I am an unutterable dork, because I want to know what font you were using in the video. *facepalm*
Love the cover artwork! So perfectly retro.
Looking forward to it.
I am really looking forward to this! Great trailer.
Having adored Palimpsest, I’m really looking forward to this new book.
The trailer is a lovely tease, too.
So. excited. for. this. book.
I love the white curlicue embellishment things that grow on the parchment background; they work really well with the video clips without being too distracting.
And I cannot wait to read this, although of course my university’s spring break ends like the freaking DAY before it comes out.
count me in - looks amazing. is that liv ullman?
Most intriguing video. It really piqued my interest in your book. Well done.
I love this video and what is says about the book. The first book in a couple of years I’m going to pre-order, I’m mostly waiting in order that I won’t get myself too strung out on the “has it arrived yet?” nerves.
Great Video! Want to ready this!
Excellent video!
guuuh I love the cover art for this, reminds me of one of my favorites whose art is in a very similar vein, the great: Chris Conn Askew.
Great trailer! Love your work!
